We, the Persian-speaking Tajiks, Hazaras and Uzbeks from Afghanistan living in Germany, ask the officials of the government of the Federal Republic of Germany to support us politically and morally in defending our mother tongue against the anti-Persian policies of the Kabul government.
Based on the history of our ancestors, the Persian language (also called “Farsi”) has been official language since Cyrus the Great of the Achaemenid Empire, from 559 BC. Until today the mother tongue of the Iranians (Tajiks, Persians, Kurds) and other non-Iranian nationalities, also in the area of today’s Afghanistan.
